June 25th Group Trail Run was a success at 8am with a skeleton crew. Much of the fog had dissipated, but by the time we got to the top, there were still a few wispy low lying clouds and the smell of salty ocean on the breeze. The next run will be same time, same place on July 23rd at 8am.

We’ll be starting at Lower Rockefeller Trail, at the Buckeye Ct (cul de sac) trailhead. This is an out and back, and depending on your preference, there are two different “route” options.

Lower Rockefeller with switchbacks – 2 times is a 5K with minimum elevation change.

Lower Rockefeller to Upper Rockefeller and back is a 5K with approximately a 1200′ elevation change.

A warm welcome to our newest NCS member, Mary!

Our early run will hopefully give us a cool coastal breeze, the smell of the ocean, or fog in the trees. Here are some bird calls we may hear along the way…

Bowles, Esserman Melville, Mace, Watson, & Webb Families participate in a morning trail and road run.
